Ahh, San Agustin Church. I remember shooting my very first wedding within its walls. It’s baroque feel, rocky texture and beautiful garden makes it a popular choice among brides. Every year, San Agustin Church never fails to bring me back to where I first started and proud to say that the photos get better and better each time I return.
I know I’ve said this sometime before, but I’ll say it again. Shooting as a second shooter is different and worthwhile experience in itself. As a second shooter, your responsibilities are different from that of the main shooter. You have to be mindful of what the main shooter is doing, once that’s established it would a good idea to take an alternate angle of whatever set-up he’s doing.
I met Jacko and Anna around July 2011 but we chose to shoot their engagement session quite recently. To be honest, I’ve been looking forward to working with them for a very long time.
They say that smiles are contagious, specially if one smiles with utmost beauty and joy. Marvin and Kat wore such smiles on their wedding day. As I was with them, I could feel the happiness they felt for each other and the excitement they had to start their lives together.
By request of Kima’s grandmother, we were asked to shoot the preparations in their home. We got started immediately upon arrival, though, half-way through shooting a power outage occurred and we were forced to transfer venue.
