Ahh, San Agustin Church. I remember shooting my very first wedding within its walls. It’s baroque feel, rocky texture and beautiful garden makes it a popular choice among brides. Every year, San Agustin Church never fails to bring me back to where I first started and proud to say that the photos get better and better each time I return.
Intramuros, the walled city at the core of a Manila — 4 years ago, I shot an engagement session in this same place and I believe that was where my career started. I was given a wonderful opportunity to shoot in the venue once more, and this time I aimed to make it more stunning than before. Fortunately, I achieved my goal!
I met Jacko and Anna around July 2011 but we chose to shoot their engagement session quite recently. To be honest, I’ve been looking forward to working with them for a very long time.
Mandy and Kima met during their choir days in U.P. Diliman, that’s why it was only fitting that we did there engagement session in the place where they first met.
Another beautiful wedding in San Agustin Church. On the 11th of December 2009, Ian and Tin were joined together in matrimony. Truly, it was a wonderful and very momentous wedding!
Doing this shoot was great! I had a chance to drive all the way up to Tagaytay and back for this one. Actually, I drove up on the evening of November 28, right after another shoot. I have to admit it was quite tiring to drive that far but it was well worth it. The place was wonderful and perfect for the shoot. One of my front tires blew up on the way up, forcing me to change it in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately, it happened in a flat place so jacking up the car wasn’t a problem. I got back on track after about 15 minutes of work. The venue wasn’t far from where I had trouble and so with a little more driving, I reached the venue and prepared myself for the next morning’s activity.
Despite the car trouble and semi-long drive, I would say that the trip was well worth it. In fact, the unforeseen events made it even more memorable on my part.
